Give me concept  28.11.06
It’s the end of an era! As Saturday 4th November came and went so too did Adam’s last gig with us. Despite the early start, we managed to give it our all for a memorable finale to mark the occasion, topped off by some 'interesting dancing' some hours later on the stage we had earlier played!

On behalf of everyone involved with The Fractures in the last couple of years we would like to just say it’s been a pleasure having Ad in the band, and we would be hard pressed to find a better drummer than you. Cheers mate.

Despite Ad’s departure it has been another good year for us, especially as Dave has so far managed to avoid breaking any more bones! Seriously though, we’ve enjoyed every minute of it and wouldn’t have made it this far without the support of our hardened fans, friends and family who continue to fuel our progress with their support – highlighted by the fact we’ve headlined some of the best venues in London in Death Disco, The Barfly and The Water Rats in these past few months.

There are a small group of followers who deserve special thanks for all the commitment and support they give us. McKenzie, thanks for all your hard work and belief in us, we appreciate it dearly. And to name a few Fractures and Fracturettes, thanks to Martin, Larkin, Helen, Andrea, Clare, Bex, Verity, Mick, Melv and Jesse. There are so many more of you and we thank you once again.

As well as some great gigs, we also recorded and released a fantastic EP with a top producer which has made it onto a compilation with some of the best new bands around - our track ‘Recovery’ is now on 'The Big Indie Comeback' compilation released by Matchbox Recordings. You can buy this from iTunes or Amazon now.

As for next year, what does it hold for us? Well, at the moment we have a host of new material and new ideas in development so whether it will be a full blown Fractures line-up or something a little different, there will certainly be more to come from us. We will keep you updated on what’s happening via the website, myspace and of course our e-mail updates. In the meantime, don’t forget you can buy the EP 'The World Woke Up Without Him' from iTunes or CD baby now!

Thanks again, and we'll see you all very soon.

Two Thousand & Six  14.01.06
Happy New Year everyone, hope you all had a good Christmas. All in all, it wasn't a very good end to 2005 for us! As you probably know, Dave broke a finger in November (again) and had to have it pinned, whilst Paul was also quite ill and suffered from a rare type of Belles Palsy. As a result we decided it was time to have a much needed break over December whilst Dave & Paul recovered from their setbacks and Adam moved into his new Fracture pad.

After much drinking, eating and catching up with friends, we soon realised how keen we all are to get back playing again and are pleased to tell you that Dave and Paul have made good progress. We are now back in the studio writing and rehearsing new material in preparation for our first gig in 2006.

Check out the
Dates page for more gig information.

Bad Luck, Good Luck 14.01.06
After the bad luck we experienced at the end of last year, the balance was half restored with some good news in January.

We've managed to win some pretty exclusive studio time in the Neve room at Miloco studios. We are planning to go into the studio in early April to record a new E.P. Lets hope 2006 brings us some more of this good fortune.
